May 25 | GIORDANA + JAKE BETHEL, ME |
Weddings |

| Giordana and Jake had a very intimate wedding at the McLaughlin Gardens in South Paris, Maine, followed by an 11-course dinner at the Glen House in Bethel. The dinner was put together by the chefs at No. 9 Park in Boston, so food was a major, major part of the celebration. But not any more major than their three dogs, for sure! |

| What I love about intimate weddings -- things like having the first dance at the edge of the dining room and kitchen. And no less romantic for that. |

| And a garter toss to the one single bridesmaid. |

May 25 | TIFFANY + COLIN POST WEDDING SESSION |
Weddings |

| Tiffany (a/k/a Mrs. Toucan of Weddingbee blog fame) and Colin decided they wanted to do a post wedding session roughly six months after their wedding. Even though they already had a lot of great images from their wedding, it was a lot of fun taking some photographs in a different location, and taking advantage of interesting lighting and backgrounds. But as always, it was Tiffany and Colin that made the pictures glow. |

May 18 | LAUREN + JOHN, BURLINGTON, VT |
Weddings |

| Lauren and John had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Burlington, Vermont. It started with a hike and picnic in the morning, followed by the ceremony at the home of Lauren's parents overlooking Lake Champlain.I was very fortunate to have my good friend Connie shoot with me, and together we had a spectacular time capturing Lauren and John's day. |

| Lauren and John tore each and every invitation in the shape of the peaks of Vermont. |

| After the toasts, Lauren and John's friends led a lovely candle dedication. |

| Lauren's dogs were a part of the entire day, and were never far away. |

| Late in the evening, everything was laid out for a cookout complete with S'mores. |

| Ellen and Lou had their wedding at Stonewall Farm in New Hampshire. Fantastic weather, lots of emotion, farm animals, cigars, and an extremely lively reception made their wedding day especially terrific and memorable. |

| This shot was taken by my very capable second shooter Ryan. |

| Ellen and Lou's engagement session was one of the most popular and commented on sessions on my blog last year, so I wanted to kick off my new blog by bringing it over with bigger and better images. When people ask me what makes for a successful engagement session, I emphasize that it isn't the glamor of the couple, the wardrobe or the location, but it's the ability of the couple to relax and be themselves that produces the best pictures. I've been very lucky that every couple I've photographed has been great in that regard. |
